Dr. Jabbour earned his M.D. degree from the University of Tishreen, School of Medicine, in Lattakis, Syria. He was a fellow in hematology and oncology at the University of Connecticut Health Center in Farmington after his residency in internal medicine at the University of Illinois at Chicago/Advocate Christ Medical Center in Oak Lawn.

He has served as a clinical assistant professor in the department of internal medicine at the University of Kentucky and as an attending physician of hematology and oncology at the Hazard ARH Cancer Center in Hazard, Kentucky. Widely published, Dr. Jabbour is a member of the American College of Physicians, the American Society of Hematology and the American Society of Clinical Oncology.
